Aaron Rodgers to speak about the positive effects of psychedelics

quarterback Aaron Rodgers is slated to speak to the benefits of psychedelics as it relates to physical performance at a conference in Denver Wednesday hosted by a psychedelic advocacy group.

Psychedelic Science 2023 is a five-day gathering of members of the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies — the largest advocacy group in the U.S.– and a mixture of researchers, therapists, politicians and ‘psychedelic enthusiasts’, which is where Rodgers comes in. 

As per the conference schedule, Rodgers and his friend Marcus will be keynote speakers on ‘How Psychedelics Can Unlock Elite Performance’ at the Bellco Theater Wednesday from 5.15pm. 

The pair are set to discuss the inherent connection between cognitive wellness and elite performance and delve into how they both ‘unlock greater levels of mental health, clarity of purpose, and elite performance’ through psychedelics. 

The conference began at the Colorado Convention Center June 19 and will finish June 23.Not only will it provide guest speakers, but attendees have the opportunity to attend classes and workshops.  

In recent months, Colorado has decriminalized the use of psychedelic mushrooms. Joining Rodgers as a speaker at the forum are former Texas Republican Gov.Rick Perry and Jaden Smith, the son of Will.

The conference, and the thousands expected to attend it, are an indication of the creep, or perhaps leap, of cultural acceptance for psychedelic substances that proponents say may offer benefits for things like this post-traumatic stress disorder and alcoholism.
