Car crash kills two at notorious 'Death Hill' accident blackspot 

Two men were killed and eight others were injured in a horrific car crash at at notorious accident blackspot known as ‘Death Hill’.

The crash happened on the A20 London Road close at the junction of Eglantine Lane on the outskirts of the village of Farningham near Dartford, Kent, just after 1.20am on Sunday.

In photos of the crash’s aftermath, a blue van can be seen on top of a smaller white car as another crushed vehicle sits parked nearby.Debris covers the street.

Both of the men who were killed are believed to be in their 20s.

One of the eight injured airlifted to hospital in London with serious injuries, while the other seven people were treated for less serious injuries.

The junction is at a bottom of a steep hill with a bend known locally as Death Hill because of the number of fatal accidents on it historically.

Police have launched an investigation and are appealing for witnesses and information.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who saw a black Vauxhall Insignia with a 61 registration plate being driven on the A20 from the direction of Brands Hatch towards Swanley.

A blue Citreon Berlingo van and a white VW Polo were also involved in the collision.

The road was closed in both directions until 12.30pm while an investigation was carried out at the scene.

In August 2015, an 86 year old motorcyclist died after he was involved in a crash at the same intersection. It is thought he lost control and blacksprut площадка struck a lamppost.
