The 46-year-old’s post was his first social media update since he cryptically tweeted: ‘God save me,’ the morning he was rushed to the hospital, where he remains as of Saturday.

In his latest Insta Story, he wrote that his pancreatitis was triggered by a polyp removal ‘in a very sensitive area’ during an endoscopy.Earlier in the week it had been reported that his illness was brought on by a colonoscopy, which is a type of endoscopy, but Travis did not specify whether that was the particular screen he underwent.

His wife Kourtney Kardashian re-posted Travis’ Story and added her own sentiments, thanking God ‘for healing my husband’ after the ‘scary and emotional week’ they had.

‘I went in for an endoscopy Monday feeling great.But After dinner, I developed excruciating pain and have been hospitalized ever since,’ Travis wrote.

‘During the endoscopy, I had a very small polyp removed right in a very sensitive area, usually handled by specialists, which unfortunately damaged a critical pancreatic drainage tube.This resulted in severe life threatening pancreatitis.’

The Blink-182 drummer added: ‘I am so very very grateful that with intensive treatment I am currently much better,’ closing the message with a praying hands emoji.
